The tour is at a reasonable pace and yet covers the key attractions and captures the essence of these countries. One can also include St. Petersburg (Russia) in the tour by adding 3 more nights.

Copenhagen City Sightseeing Tour by Hop-on Hop-off bus. Pass valid for 2 days. There are 3 tours/routes :

BERGEN

Transfer to Oslo station.

Oslo to Bergen : Norway in a Nutshell

Starting by train from Oslo, and ending in Bergen, this excursion shows you "Norway in a Nutshell". Experience the breathtaking Flam Railway, the Aurlandsfjord and the narrow Naeroyfjord (now included on UNESCO's World Heritage List) and the steep hairpin bends of the Stalheimskleiva.

From Oslo to Myrdal is by mainline train, then continuing by narrow-gauge train to Myrdal, and on to Flåm. Then enjoy a Fjord cruise to Gudvangen. Descend back down the mountains by coach to Voss, and on to Bergen by train.

The journey starts with a morning train around 08:00am, ending at Bergen about 20:30 in the evening. Transfer to hotel in Bergen.

 

DAY 8

BERGEN

Bergen City Sightseeing (Card) - With your Bergen Card, you can enjoy free bus travel within the city limits, free or discounted admittance to most museums and attractions and discounts on a variety of cultural and sightseeing attractions, restaurants and parking. Valid for 24 hrs.

 

DAY 9

STOCKHOLM

After breakfast, transfer to Bergen airport. Flight to Stockholm - The Capital of Scandinavia.

Transfer from airport to hotel in Stockholm.

DAY 10

On-board Ship

Arrive at Helsinki in the morning. Transfer to hotel in Helsinki.

DAY 12

ROVANIEMI

Transfer from hotel to Helsinki airport. Flight from Helsinki to Rovaniemi.

Midnight Sun Experience (21:00 hrs – Midnight)

The evening begins with a restful cruise on a traditional long and open riverboat along River Kemijoki, which is surrounded by beautiful summer scenery. A local-style evening meal will be prepared by your guide in the middle of nature. Before midnight, you’ll be driven to the top of Ounasvaara Fell to admire the fascinating midnight sun and the tranquil nature. Then we raise a toast for the magical feeling of the white nights of Lapland with a glass of sparkling wine. You will be escorted back to your hotel after the programme.

 

DAY 13

ROVANIEMI

Santa Claus Safari (11:00 hrs - 17:00 hrs)

Experience the most important elements of the magical ambience of Lapland! Your adventure begins with a refreshing cruise on a traditional riverboat along the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers. A visit to the home of Lappish family and their workshop is the first stop on our cruise. After this, the riverboat will take you to a local reindeer farm, where you can learn about Lappish culture and reindeer rearing. Enjoy a delicious Lappish lunch and participate in a ceremonial crossing of the Arctic Circle during your visit to the farm. In the afternoon, the tour continues by car to the Santa Claus Village for a meeting with Mr. Claus himself, after which you have a chance to do some shopping before returning to the city.

On Flight

Transfer to Rovaniemi airport.

Flight from Rovaniemi to Helsinki.

Tour ends with flight back to India from Helsinki.

ST. PETERSBURG

Transfer to Rovaniemi airport. Flight from Rovaniemi to Helsinki. Transfer from airport to station. Train to St. Petersburg from Helsinki. Transfer from station to hotel.

 

DAY 15

ST. PETERSBURG

St. Petersburg Sightseeing - Drive along the broad main street, Nevsky Prospect. Stop at Vassilevsky Island to enjoy the superb views of the Peter and Paul Fortress, the oldest building in the city. Pass the multi-coloured spires of the Church of the Spilled Blood, before continuing on by St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the former principal cathedral of Russia, and the famous statue of Peter the Great on horseback.

Arriving at Peter and Paul Fortress (entrance included), which was seen from afar earlier in the tour, exit the coach and visit the Cathedral, built in 1712 and located in the heart of the fortress. All Russian tsars from Peter the Great to Nicolas II were buried in the cathedral grounds, as well as many members of the Russian royal family. The cathedral, 122.5 metres high (with a 40 metre spire) was for a long time the tallest structure in the city. [Duration : 3 hrs]

 

DAY 16

ST. PETERSBURG

Excursion to Peterhof - Located 20km south-west of the city, overlooking the Gulf of Finland, Peterhof is a series of palaces and gardens, laid out on the orders of Peter the Great, commonly referred to as the "Russian Versailles". It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tour includes an inside visit of the Grand Palace and a walking tour of the equally impressive parks and gardens including some magnificent fountains. [Duration : 6 hrs]

 

DAY 17

TOUR ENDS AFTER SIGHTSEEING

Hermitage Art Museum - Meet local guide and board private coach for transfer to the Hermitage, one of the world’s finest art museums. It contains more than two and a half million works of art representing different ages, cultures and peoples. Originally, the palace served as a winter residence of the Tsars and was not open to the public. The collection was started by Catherine the Great, who bought art from France, Austria, Italy, Germany, and other countries. Admire masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Raphael, Rembrandt, works of the French impressionists as well as the magnificent interiors of the Winter Palace. [Duration : 4 hrs]

After sightseeing, transfer to airport/station . Tour ends.
