Quit the creature comforts and experience staying on a working farm. See the cashew harvest and try your hand at it. Visit the aamrai's of Kokan from where the king of fruits - the mighty Alphonso Mango comes from.
Walk the clean, uncrowded beaches and visit the age old heritage temples. Add to this some sumptous konkani food along with aam-raas (in-season) and kokan's quint-essential modak's !

Oorja Farms is a working farm located before Dapoli in the rural wilderness by the flowing river and offers one a glimpse into the agricultural activity coupled with sightseeing of nearby spots. You can ofcourse follow our itinerary, or declare that you are there for some peace and just relax.
IDEAL FOR: Families, groups and children. This is a work farm and not a hotel and hence many services like AC, TV in room, telephones, room service are not available. The rooms are very basic and hence its ideal only for people who are willing to sacrifice usual hotels for a new expereince. The farm has no landline connection. BSNL Cellone and Tata Indicom has some coverage.

OORJA FARMS - ITINERARY Sat: Arrive by 1pm at the farm. Lunch on arrival (included). 3.00pm - Our guide joins in your car and takes you to the 2000 year old Vishnu temple nearby (20 mins). The temple has a small stream flowing nearby. 4.30pm - Depart for Anjarle beach (around 35-40 mins). Enjoy the evening at a quiet and uncrowded beach. 7.30pm - Arrive back at the farm 8.30pm - Dinner (inlcuded) - seafood not including. You can order this on arrival and price will be quoted depending on catch size. Sun: 8.30am - Breakfast (included) 9.30am - Guided nature walk and visit to the cashew plantation. You maybe able to see the cashew harvest depending on the timing and growh of cashews. It is recommended to take along good walking shoes 11.30am - return to the farm. 12.00 noon - Lunch (included). Depart at your leisure after lunch. |

GETTING THERE Pune-Hatip is about 200 Kms and takes about 4.5 hrs. The route is Pune-NH4-Bhor-Khambatki Ghat-NH17 Goa highway-Khed phata and towards Dapoli.
